03 / What you'll need
Document checklist
Your personal checklist in the app adapts to who is travelling. This is the usual list.
Every applicant
Passport
Valid at least 6 months beyond your return, with 2 blank pages. Scan the photo page.
Passport photo
Recent, white background, no glasses. We tell you the exact size for your destination.
Emirates ID
Both sides, valid for at least 3 months.
UAE residence visa
The visa page or the e-visa PDF, valid for at least 3 months after your return.
Bank statements
Last 3 to 6 months, stamped by the bank or downloaded with your name and IBAN visible.
Flight reservation
A reservation is enough; don't buy tickets before the visa is granted.
Accommodation booking
Covering every night of the trip, or an invitation if you are staying with someone.
Previous visas(if applicable)
Pages with earlier Schengen, UK, US, Canadian or Australian visas, if any.
Invitation letter(if applicable)
From the person or company you are visiting, if any, with their status in the UK.
If you are employed
Salary certificate
Addressed to the embassy, on company letterhead, dated within the last month.
No-objection letter from employer
Confirming your leave dates and that you will return to your job.
If you own a business
Trade licence
Plus company bank statements for the last 6 months.
If you are a student
School or university letter
Confirming enrolment and approved leave for the travel dates.
For children
Birth certificate
Plus a consent letter from any parent not travelling.
If someone else pays for the trip
Sponsor's letter and documents
A letter from the person paying for the trip, with their passport, visa and bank statements.
